find descriptions of the various styles available. By style, we mean
shape and size of the aid. Following that, a brief discussion is
available about differences in circuitry. Your Hearing Instrument
Specialist will discuss with you, after a complete hearing examination,
the style and circuitry best suited for your loss.
HEARING AID STYLES

FULL SHELL
- Fills the entire bowl of the ear. This is the most
versatile instrument style.

BEHIND THE EAR
- Behind The Ear (BTE)
Aid fits behind the ear and is attached to a custom
ear mold. This type of aid is useful for more severe hearing
loss and allows a more powerful battery to be used.

OPEN-FIT
is a new BTE which uses a small locking wire to secure it in place
instead of an ear mold. Nearly invisible and the most natural sound ever!

HEARING AID CIRCUITRY

BASIC HEARING AID -
Audina Class D Linear
amplification utilizes an integrated output amplifier within the
receiver. This allows for fewer components, reduced battery
drain and higher output with less distortion.

DIGITAL HEARING
AID - All our digital
in the ear hearing aids offer either Audina Paragon 2 or Audina Paragon 4 for the most accurately reproduced sound
possible. Digital technology gives superior sound
reproduction for a quiet, crisp sound with less circuit
noise--much like the quality of CD music. Digital technology
automatically decreases background noise while increasing speech
sounds. Annoying feedback is also greatly reduced with the
digital circuitry. Power options meet the needs of mild to
severe hearing loss.
OPEN-FIT
- If you’re not hearing as well these days, but don’t
like the look of those big bulky hearing aids, then the OPEN-FIT could be your little secret!
Nearly invisible, even friends & family won’t notice you’re wearing it.
The digital Premium Rexton Bridge 12 OPEN-FIT is ergonomically shaped with an open-fit receiver in the ear on a thin tube
for comfort and superior sound. It is easy and convenient to use with optional Bluetooth remote control operation and an
adaptive directional mic system. The digital Basic Rexton Day Free, Better Rexton Colbalt ECO OPEN-FIT also fit comfortably
with only a thin clear tube in your ear, leaving it open to the sounds around you.
