04/23/08 Information Technology Technician (Part-time approx 20 hrs per week) Job Description: The Information Technology Technician will routinely troubleshoot problems related to PCs and system hardware and software. Also, Assist in installing, configuring, upgrading, moving, and administering PCs, network/telecommunications systems and components. Loading and testing computer software. Relocating thin clients, printers, PCs, and reconnecting cables. Provide help desk support. And perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Some knowledge of personal computers and personal computer software application packages especially Windows 2000, XP, & 2003. Some knowledge of personal computer and network/telecommunications architecture and equipment. Ability to perform personal computer, network/telecommunications system troubleshooting, on both software and hardware problems. Ability to implement or coordinate equipment repairs and solve software problems. And occasionally lift over 50lbs.
